Chinese phonemaker Xiaomi on tuesday 27th of September launched the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus handsets, successors to the Mi 5 which was released earlier this year. The Xiaomi Mi 5s has been so much talked about in the media lately and one would almost be wondering what the fuss is all about. I however, must tell you that with the reviews and specs which you would see for yourself, the phone is worth every bit of hype about it. Below is the first ever camera sample for the Mi 5S which the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted on his weibo account on September 23rd.
The Chinese company will continue to be the ‘value for money’ champion they have come to be known for. The really particular interesting touch is the ultra light-sensitive camera and above all, a new ultrasonic fingerprint reader built under the glass at the bottom of the phones (underneath the display). According to Xiaomi, the sensor is superfast as it’s based on Qualcomm’s ultrasonic technology, that is claimed to make it easy to scan your fingers even when they’re dirty or wet. To be sure about these facts, we will have to wait a little while to physically review the phone and be sure. You can however, be sure that the phone will definitely be a great buy considering the success of the Mi 5. Just a quick note that we are putting in specs and reviewing both the Mi 5s and Mi 5s plus together.
Here are other picture samples that were taken with the phone just before it’s launch……
It would be worthy to also note that an American release shouldn’t be expected but that doesn’t stop us from bringing you the quotes and prices in US dollars.
