The blackberry DTEK60 Specs and review

Blackberry has decided not to allow this year 2016 pass it by without unveiling it’s own flagship smartphone, and with the release of the Google Pixel, Iphone 7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, LG G5, the blackberry DTEK60 is prepared to rival the big names and big brands out there now. The blackberry DTEK60 is a predecessor to the recently released blackberry DTEK50 in August of this year 2016 which also runs on the android operating system platform as well as the blackberry Priv. This now brings the total number of blackberry devices running on the android operataing system to 3. It’s no news that the BlackBerry DTEK60 is based on the design of the Alcatel-built TCL 950.

The blackberry DTEK60 is a little on the big side as it sports a massive 5.5 inches screen which will make it compete favorably in the market with other high end phones. After years of backing its own BB Operating system, blackberry has decided to make an Android smartphone in a bid to grab a piece of the smartphone market it used to dominate. The phone is now available to buy from the blackberry website in the US, UK and Canada and they have announced that it would be coming to other markets very soon. Being just 6.9 mm thick, it surpasses the DTEK50 as BlackBerry’s thinnest ever smartphone.

Make no mistake here, DTEK60 is the world’s most secure smartphone for now, as it features additional security from the ground up including a secure bootloader, full disk encryption and the DTEK App just as the DTEK 50 and Priv are also. The phone will keep all your information safe and secure, will automatically detect threats and protect against them. It is a quad-core model with cores running at 1.6GHz. The phone has a machined aluminum frame, and a toughened glass front and rear. The power/lock key is instead located on the top-left side of the phone, while a centralized ‘convenience key’ is in the middle of the right side; a position expected to house the power button instead. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the phone just below the camera.
